Celtics Mavs Game 3

Celtics Hold Off Mavericks in Game 3, Take 3-0 Lead in NBA Finals

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown Lead the Way

The Boston Celtics held off the Dallas Mavericks 120-107 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night to take a 3-0 lead in the series. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics, combining for 61 points on 24-of-45 shooting from the field. Tatum finished with a game-high 29 points, while Brown added 28.

The Celtics started the game slowly, falling behind by 10 points in the first quarter. However, they were able to rally back and take a 55-52 lead at the half. They extended their lead to 15 points in the third quarter and held on for the win in the fourth.

Kristaps Porzingis Steps Up for the Mavericks

Kristaps Porzingis was a bright spot for the Mavericks in Game 3. He finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. However, he was the only Maverick who was able to consistently make an impact on the game. Luka Doncic struggled to get going, finishing with just 17 points on 6-of-22 shooting from the field.

The Mavericks will need to make some adjustments if they want to get back into the series. They will need to find a way to get Doncic more involved in the offense and they will need to improve their defense. The Celtics are a well-rounded team that is playing with a lot of confidence right now. The Mavericks will need to be at their best if they want to avoid a sweep.
